CDG AIRPORT - PARIS COMPETITION ENTRY
Our competition entry for the fentress architect's "airports of the future" competition focused on reimagining the charles de gaulle (cdg) airport in paris, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental consciousness. we are proud to announce that our design was honored with the prestigious people's choice award.
our vision for the cdg airport sought to transform it into a cutting-edge transportation hub that not only meets the demands of modern air travel but also prioritizes sustainable practices and minimizes its environmental impact.
one of the key aspects of our design was to incorporate renewable energy sources. we integrated solar panels, wind turbines, and other innovative technologies to generate clean energy for the airport's operations. this approach not only reduced carbon emissions but also ensured long-term energy efficiency.
to enhance the airport's ecological impact, we introduced green spaces and vertical gardens within the terminal buildings. these green areas not only improved air quality but also provided travelers with calming and refreshing environments, promoting their well-being.
